Preparations for JunesMUN 2014 organised by MUN Bern are in full swing and we are pleased to announce that starting from today, the delegate and journalists applications for the conference on Post-Millennium Development Goals are open.

Important Information about the conference

The conference duration is 3 days and takes place from the 28th February to 2nd March in Berne.

The conference’s committees

  • Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO): Tackling poverty through effective food security and agricultural systems: desirable cooperation between the public sector, international organizations, the private sector and civil society.
  • Security Council (SC): Peace and Security in the Great Lakes Region, the new problems after the surrender of the M23.
  • Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC): New technologies for resilience building and risk prevention of humanitarian crisis.
  • United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP): Global sustainable Water management in regard to transboundary water management issues and economic growth.
  • Human Rights Council (HRC): What kind of peace strategies can or should be used by the United Nations in ethnic and religious conflict in the Central African Republic?
  • Disarmament and International Security (DISEC): Cyberwar: a threat for global order and security.

Conference Fees

  • with overnight stay: 100 CHF
  • without overnight stay: 60 CHF
  • the conference fee includes: (2x acommodation, 2x breakfast) 2x lunch, 1x dinner, 2x party, 1x Aperitif, food and coffee during breaks)
